Leonardo Bonucci is a center back for Juventus FC. He was born on 1 May 1987 in Viterbo, Italy.
Leonardo’s professional career started in 2005 at Internazionale Milano. Bonucci didn’t fit into Inter starting lineup and in summer 2007 he was loaned out to F.C. Treviso.
Bonucci started the 2007/08 season at Treviso as a substitute but over time he began to appear in the starting lineup more often. During his second season at Treviso, Leonardo began to feature more often, due to the head coach’s faith in him. For 2 years at the Italian club Bonucci played 40 matches and scored 4 goals.
In 2009 Leonardo was loaned out to A.C. Pisa. For half a season at the temporary club Bonucci made 18 appearances and scored 1 goal.
In the summer of 2009 Leonardo returned to Inter and was promptly transferred to A.S. Bari in a co-ownership deal worth €1.75 million. During the 2009/10 season Leonardo was a regular fixture in Bari starting eleven and scored 1 goal in 38 appearances.
In 2010 Leonardo entered a new phase of his career as Juventus FC acquired the Italian center back for 5 years. Since 2010 Leonardo progressed into a key player at the club with 60 appearances and 4 goals.
In 2010 Leonardo has been capped 13 times and netted 2 goals for the Italian national team.
