Lewin Nyatanga is a defender of Barnsley. He was born on 18 August 1988 in Burton upon Trent, England.
In 2005, Lewin graduated from the academy of Derby County and put pen to paper of his first senior contract with the club. The footballer spent one year with ‘The Rams’ and went on loan to Sunderland, where he made 11 appearances during six months.
In 2007, Nyatanga sealed a temporary deal with Barnsley and netted two goals in 51 fixtures for ‘The Tykes’ during three spells. After returning to his parent Derby County, the defender took his tally to four goals in 63 matches for the team by 2009.
In 2009, Lewin transferred to Bristol City on permanent basis and spent six months with ‘The Robins’ before being sent on loan to Peterborough United, where he featured in three games during his spell. After returning to his parent club, the footballer appeared in 105 matches for the club.
In the summer 2013 Lewin moved to Barnsley.
