Li Zhuangfei is a Chinese midfielder, born on 24 January 1988 in Zibo, China.
Li got ready to his professional career at the youth football academy of FC Shandong Luneng, which he joined in 2000. He was often used as a first-team player during the academy’s youth team fixtures and showed really impressive play. During his stay at the academy, Zhuangfei proved himself to be a really prolific and versatile player, being able to perform well both in defense and midfield. In 2006 the player finally finished his education and joined the senior team of FC Shandong Luneng.
However, Li didn’t stay there for long, as he moved to FC Xiamen Lanshi on a loan deal just a few weeks later. There he was used as a rotation option and left the club at the end of the season after 19 appearances in a Xiamen shirt.
In 2007 the footballer clinched a full-time deal with FC Wuhan Guanggu, where he spent the next season of his career. Despite being considered a gifted player, he failed to earn enough playing time at the club, as he was unable to fight for places with more experienced footballers. Zhuangfei left the side at the end of the campaign, making just 2 first-team appearances.
In 2008 the player was transferred to FC Jiangsu Sainty and helped his new team to clinch the league title and get the promotion to the top division with his 1 goal in 6 first-team appearances. The next season he would receive even less first-team calls-up and left the side halfway through the season, adding just one Chinese Super League appearance to his career stats.
Li’s next destination turned out to be FC Qingdao Jonoon, where he debuted in a 2-0 win over Changsha Ginde on 18 July 2010. The player’s career got back on track at the Qingdao club, as he regularly takes part in first-team fixtures.
