Liam Trotter is a midfielder, born on 24 August 1988 in Ipswich, England.
In 2006, Liam started his professional performance in Ipswich Town, where he got an opportunity to take part in several fixtures before moving to Millwall on temporary basis. The footballer made two appearances for ‘The Lions’ and returned to his parent club, but the head coach decided not to risk and use more experienced players, which left Trotter without any practice. In 2008, the midfielder went on loan to Grimsby Town and netted two goals in 15 games for the team during half a year.
In 2009, Liam sealed a temporary deal with Scunthorpe United and fired one goal in 12 matches for the club during six months. In January 2010, the management of Millwall recalled the footballer’s encouraging performance and secured his services for the second half of the 2009/2010 season. Trotter found the net one time in 23 fixtures for ‘The Lions’ during his spell and earned an opportunity to put pen to a permanent contract.
In the summer 2010, the midfielder joined Millwall and amassed 22 goals in over 100 games for the new team.
In 2014 Trotter had a brief loan spell with Bolton Wanderers and later signed a permanent deal with the club.
