Libor Kozák is a striker for Aston Villa. He was born on 30 May 1989 in Opava, Czech Republic.
Libor’s youth career started at Opava football academy. During 6 years the young Czech studied there and quite successfully performed for Opava youth squad.
In 2007 Kozák signed his first professional contract with the home club and alma mater SFC Opava. During his debut 2007/08 season the young striker showed very good results, scoring 11 goals in 26 appearances. Libor’s rising star was distinguished by various European clubs but S.S. Lazio was the one to eventually sign him.
In the summer of 2008 Libor Kozák officially joined Lazio and was immediately sent to the club’s academy to study there for a season and to adapt to much more challenging Italian pro football. After one year at the academy Libor was loaned to Brescia. During the 2009/10 season Kozák scored 4 goals in 30 matches for the club.
After the loan spell with Brescia the young Czech striker returned to Lazio and appeared in overall 58 matches for the club. In September 2013 Libor was offered a contract with Aston Villa.
As Lazio player, Libor won Coppa Italia 2008/09.
From 2007 Kozák has been playing for the Czech national teams.
