A Portuguese footballer Liédson da Silva Muniz plays as a striker for Cube de Regatas Flamengo. He was born on 17 December 1977 in Cairu.
Muniz started his career at Poções. In 2000, he moved to Prudentópolis . But he didn’t manage to settle in the team and very soon signed for Coritiba, where the 2001/2002 season passed.
In 2002, Liédson took the proposal from Flamengo and made 24 appearances during the spell. He won the 2002 Troféu Capitão Castro and in 2003 the striker was scouted by Corinthians. Together with the team he gained the title in the 2003 Campeonato Paulista, but in few months moved to Sporting CP. The time spent with the club turned to be very fortunate, as the striker was twice awarded with the title of The Top Scorer in Primeira Liga (during the 2004/2005 season and the 2006/2007season) and he was also repeatedly honored with the Player of the Month.
In 2011, Liédson returned to Corinthians to spend the 2011/2012 season with the first team. He made 34 appearances and netted 13 goals over the spell. In 2012, the footballer signed a contract with Flamengo. In 2013 he performed for Porto on loan.
Liédson made 14 appearances and scored 4 goals for the Portugal national squad during the 2009/2010 season.
