His career began in 2000 in the youth system of Alianza. For three years Loïc was one of the academy’s apprentices. From 2003 to 2005 Loïc managed to be a trainee at Garges-les-Gonesse and Bourget football clubs. In 2005 Nego caught the eye of FC Nantes scouts who did their best to sign the footballer.
In 2010 Loïc Nego began his professional career in French football defending the colours of Nantes club. The young defender signed a professional contract with FC Nantes playing 13 games in 2010/11 season. After a reasonably good season, notwithstanding rare appearances in the first team, Loïc became of interest to Italian Roma that guided a campaign aiming at bringing new blood to the team.
In summer 2011 Loïc Nego agreed the terms with AS Roma. However, the youngster did not manage to make it to the squad and left for a Hungarian side Ujpest in 2013. A couple of months later he moved to Charlton Athletic.
From 2006 to 2011 Loïc was called up 7 times to the France U16 team, was capped 17 times and scored 1 goal for the France U17 team, played 8 matches for the France U18 team, 12 matches for the France U19 team and 15 matches for the France U20 team.
