Manuel Oritz Toribio (or simply Lolo) plays for CA Osasuna as a midfielder. Toribio is a universal defensive player who can perform both as a defensive midfielder and a centre back.
His career as a professional footballer started at Sevilla FC. In the season 2002/03 he started to play professionally for the Sevilla B team scoring a winner against Burgos as his first goal for the club. This decisive shot allowed them to get their promotion to the second division of Spanish football in the season 2006/07.
Lolo made his debut in the top flight against Deportivo de la Coruña in March of 2008. Then his debut in the UEFA Champions League followed when he played an entire match against Slavia Prague. However he spent most of the season as a reserve team player.
Lolo was loaned by the neighbouring Málaga for the season 2008/09. He spent most of his time there as a defensive midfielder having scored against Sporting de Gijon and Valladolid.
In October of 2009 Lolo maintained his first team status in Sevilla and signed a contract linking him with the Andalusian side till June of 2011. On April 10, 2010 he scored his first goal for Sevilla. That was a late winner against his former side Málaga.
Thinking Sevilla wasn’t quite fair with requirements towards his play Lolo decided to move and finally signed for CA Osasuna where he was employed as a central defender mostly. For 2 seasons at the club he was involved in 55 games and netted 3 goals.
