A Spanish footballer José María López de Silva Sánchez plays as a winger for Córdoba CF. José was born on 1 February 1983 in Huelva, Andalusia.
Silva spent his junior years at the best Spanish football academies. At first, he played for the junior side of Real Madrid, within some time the young winger was scouted by another giant – Valencia. In 2002, after finishing his formation, López joined Valencia B. He signed his first pro contract for a term of two years. The stint was lined with 14 appearances made and one ball scored for the reserves.
In 2004, Silva opted to join Linares, where the 2004/2005 season was spent. Despite quite a short stint spent at the club, the winger made starts at almost all the matches. In total, he appeared 28 times. In 2005, López was bought out by Burgos. His career with the squad was lined with 18 appearances made and one goal scored.
The 2006/2007 season passed defending the colors of Alcalá. José María amassed seven goals in 33 matches during the spell. In 2007, the winger moved to Orihuela. The 2007/2008 season was lined with 34 appearances made and one ball scored. In 2008, a deal was agreed with Cádiz. Silva soon turned into the anchor player of the squad and the contract was extended. He stayed at the club until 2011, making 100 appearances and racking up eight goals. In 2011, the footballer signed a contract with the Spanish club Córdoba from the second division. His very first season for the new team was lined with four balls scored in 39 games.
