Lorenzo de Silvestri is a defender of Fiorentina. He was born on 23 May 1988 in Rome, Italy.
Lorenzo spent his youth career in the academy of his parent club Lazio. He had been fostered there for several years until he was ready to start his professional career.
In 2006 Lorenzo put a pen to a paper of a contract with Lazio. The Italian didn’t manage to become an undisputed starter of the club. However, he had made 47 appearances during his 3 seasons with Lazio.
After 2008/09 season Lorenzo’s credible play was noticed by Fiorentina. The team managers found a lot of untapped talent in the player. Lorenzo was a perfect match to Gigliati. He was a wonderful right fullback and could boast of his marvelous crosses into the box, which is very valuable in today’s football. So in 2009 the deal was signed. He immediately became one of the anchor players of the team and has taken part in more than 70 matches during 2 seasons.
In 2012 the Italian was loaned to Sampdoria.
From 2003 to 2010 the player had made 55 appearances and scored 3 times for the Italian U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-20 and U-21national teams. In 2008 Lorenzo played 5 matches for the Italian Olympic team. In 2010 de Silvestri received his first call-up for the Italian national team.
