A Paraguayan footballer Lorenzo Antonio Melgarejo Sanabria is a left back of Kuban Krasnodar. He was born on 8 August 1990 in Loma Grande, Paraguay.
Club 12 de Octubre was the place, where Lorenzo started to try his hand in professional football. In his first season the footballer made 22 appearances and netted seven goals. His performance caught an eye of Olimpia, which offered him a very tempting contract. Melgarejo took the proposal without hesitation and signed the contract in the summer 2010. In total he appeared 12 times and scored 1 goal for the club.
In January 2011, the player moved to Independiente FBC. That was a successful season for Lorenzo, as he was lucky to find net 8 times in 17 games.
In the summer 2011, he was bought out by Portuguese giants Benfica. After becoming the club’s official member Lorenzo was sent to serve loans to Paços Ferreira. He made a good performance for the temporary squad, amassing 10 goals in 29 Portuguese league matches. In 2012, he was back to his parent club, where he was chosen to be adapted to left back. Melgarejo proved to be a talented player, making a good game at his new position. In September 2012, his contract was extended.
However, in 2013 the Paraguayan completed a move to a Russian side Kuban Krasnodar.
