Loukas Vyntra is a Czech-Greek footballer born on 5 February 1981 in Město Albrechtice, then Czechoslovakia. He plays as a defender for the Spanish side Levante on loan from Panathinaikos.
Loukas embarked on his professional career at Paniliakos in 1999 and in a year moved to Veria FC. After a successful season at Veria where Vyntra made 24 solid appearances, Paniliakos wanted the player back and he returned to the club ahead of the 2001/02 campaign. Paniliakos team shortly made Vyntra their regular starter. Overall, he made a total of 63 appearances during a three-year stint at the club.
In 2004, the defender joined Panathinaikos. He marked his debut 2004/05 season with an outstanding goal in the Champions League match against Arsenal and a goal in the UEFA Cup game against Sevilla. Vyntra helped the club to pull off as the Superleague Greece champion and Greek Cup winner twice: in 2004 and 2010. Vyntra made 303 appearances in all competitions for Panathinaikos throughout the 2004-2012 seasons.
Loukas Vyntra represented the Greece U21 team in between 1997 and 2005 amassing 20 international appearances for that period. Since 2005, he is capped to the senior Greek side.
