Lu Bofei is a Chinese midfielder who currently represents Jiangsu Sainty. He was born on August 2, 1979 in Beijing, China.
Lu Bofei commenced his youth career with Bayi. In 1999 he joined the senior team after sealing a full-time contract with the club. However, the young footballer was immediately sent on loan to Changchun Yatai to gain some valuable playing experience. Returning back to Bayi, Lu became the leader of the club. Unfortunately, in 2003 Bayi was closed down and the skillful midfielder switched to Shenzhen Jianlibao. That move turned out to be a real success. During his three-year stay with the team, Lu Bofei registered 57 appearances and struck 7 goals. He also aided Shenzhen Jianlibao claim the Chinese Super League in 2004. His time with the club came to an end in 2007 with a move to Wuhan Guanggu. After the club suffered relegation in 2008, Lu Bofei moved to Jiangsu Sainty. Soon he took the captain’s armband.
On January 10, 2008 he made his first international bow for China in the match against the UAE.
