Luca Antonini is a defender of Genoa. He was born on 4 August 1982 in Milan, Italy.
Antonini’s career started in 1990 at A.C. Milan youth academy, where he was studying and playing for 11 years in the youth teams.
In the 2001/02 season, he was sent out on loan to A.C. Prato, to celebrate his professional debut, with a standing of 26 appearances and 3 goals, and to turn into a key player.
In 2002 Luca made 17 appearances and scored 1 goal during his spell at U.S. Ancona 1905.
In 2003 Antonini signed for U.C. Sampdoria and made only 3 appearances during the entire season. In 2004 Luca was loaned out to Modena F.C., where he scored 1 goal in 15 matches. And in the middle of the 2004/05 season, in winter transfer window, he was once again loaned out to Delfino Pescara 1936, where he was a regular fixture for half a year.
In the summer of 2005 Luca moved to A.S.D. Atletico Arezzo on another loan spell. In 2005/06 season he was a key defender, with 39 appearances and 3 goals scored.
In 2006 Antonini was sent to A.C. Siena for another loan run, and appeared in practically all matches of the club, 32 times and scoring three times.
In 2007 Luca Antonini quit his long-lasting loan streak and signed a permanent contract with Empoli F.C. During the 2007/08 season Luca played 32 matches at Empoli.
In 2008 Luca Antonini returned to Milan and was included in their roster. Starting from 2008 he was frequently put in the starting lineup and played 111 games for the Rossoneri.
In 2013 Anonini switched for Genoa.
In 1999 Luca Antonini played 1 game for the Italian U-17 team and 4 games for the Italian U-18 team from 2000 to 2001.
