Luca Castellazzi is a goalkeeper for Internazionale. He was born on 19 July 1975 in Gorgonzola, Italy.
Luca’s professional career started in 1994 after he had signed for Serie B Varese. During the 1994/95 season Luca made 18 appearances both as a starting player and as a substitute for the Leopards.
In 1995 Luca transferred to Monza for a season. The 1995/96 season was one of the most successful in Castellazzi’s career as he started practically every match of the club with the total of 32 appearances.
In 1996 Luca Castellazzi was signed by Calcio Padova and played as the first goalkeeper with the club’s first team for two and a half years. From 1996 to 1999 Luca Castellazzi made 57 appearances for Padova.
In January 1999 Padova decided to loan Luca to Pescara for half a season where he appeared in only 3 matches.
In the summer of 1999 Luca signed for Serie B Brescia Calcio. Luca played for the new club with varying success either featuring as a first-choice goalkeeper or warming the bench for months. There was an intense competition between goalkeepers in Brescia and Castellazzi had to fight for the place in the goal.
During the 2002/03 season Luca was a loaned player at Serie B Reggina and Serie A Catania totaling 36 appearances.
In 2005 Luca signed for Sampdoria and the following 5 seasons at the Genoa club was one of the most successful periods of Castellazzi’s career totaling 103 appearances.
In 2010 Internazionale Milano signed Luca as a second goalkeeper due to his vast playing experience. So far Luca Castellazzi has made 22 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
