Luca Marrone is a central midfielder for Sassuolo. He was born on 28 March 1990 in Bosconero, Italy.
Luca’s youth career started in 1996 when, aged 6, he entered Juventus FC youth program. For many years Marrone studied at the Juventus academy and played at Juve youth teams. For 13 years Luca was one of the best players at the academy and in 2009 he finally received an offer to join the club’s first squad.
In 2009 Luca Marrone signed his first professional contract with the Old Lady. Due to his lack of experience, the senior coach rarely included the young midfielder in the club’s starting lineup.
For Marrone to earn experience, Juve loaned him to Serie A club Siena. During his stay at the temporary club Luca has become a regular fixture. During the 2010/11 season the young Italian midfielder played 18 games and netted 1 goal for Siena.
Finding it hard to get to the main squad of the champions, Marrone signed a deal with Sassuolo in the summer 2013.
Since 2006 Luca Marrone has been capped for the Italian youth teams.
