Luca Rigoni is a midfielder for Chievo. He was born on 7 December, 1984 in Schio, Italy.
Luca’s professional career started in 2003, after he signed his first professional contract with his alma mater Vicenza. For two years of being a key defensive midfielder at Vicenza, Rigoni featured in 62 matches and scored 4 goals.
In 2005 Luca attracted the attention of Reggina, which made him a good offer. In the summer of 2005 Luca signed for the club, but made only 4 appearances in 6 months. In January 2006 Rigoni joined Piacenza on loan and made 9 appearances for the club by 2006.
In the summer of 2006 Rigoni returned to his home club Vicenza, where he spent his entire youth career. From 2006 to 2008 Rigoni successfully performed for the club, making 51 league appearances and scoring 4 goals.
In 2008 the Italian midfielder signed a contract with his current club Chievo. In the 2008/09 season the head coach began placing Luca in the starting lineup more often, which eventually made him a mainstay of the team. At present Rigoni is an indispensable defensive midfielder at Chievo.
In 2004 Luca Rigoni made one appearance for Italy U-20 team.
