Lucas Rodrigo Biglia is a defensive midfielder for SS Lazio and the Argentina national football team. He was born on 30 January 1986 in Mercedes, Argentina.
Biglia started out his professional career at Argentinos Juniors. In 2005 the midfielder joined Club Atlético Independiente and a year later switched to RSC Anderlecht. Lucas made his debut with the new club on 30 July 2006. As a part of RSC Anderlecht the footballer won the Belgian Cup, claimed Jupiler Pro League title three times and lifted the Belgian Supercup four times.
In November 2010, Biglia received a large amount of interest from such football clubs as Bordeaux, West Ham United FC, and Napoli. During seven seasons in Belgium Biglia appeared 214 times and scored 14 goals. In the summer 2013 he accepted the offer from Lazio.
In February 2011 Lukas received his first call-up to the Argentina national team. He is also the winner of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
