Ludovic Obraniak is a Polish-French midfielder, born on 10 November 1984 in Longeville-lès-Metz, France.
Ludovic began his youth career playing for a local club FC Metz. He attended the club’s academy until 2002 and also starred in the club’s youth squad.
In 2002 the player was promoted to the senior team squad and signed with Metz a five-year contract up to 2007. In total Obraniak scored 5 goals in 99 matches for the club.
In 2007 Ludovic moved to Lille OSC, which is considered to be an old resident of Ligue 1. The midfielder agreed to a five-year contract with the club. The player participated in all club matches thus becoming a core player of the team. His authority and charisma helped the team members to preserve their competitive spirit at the most trying moments. For five years spent with the club Obraniak made 152 appearances and netted 19 goals.
In January 2012 the midfielder officially joined Bordeaux and featured in 89 matches during to years with the club. In January 2014 Obraniak moved to Werder Bremen.
In 2004 Ludovic was called up once to represent France at youth level.
As soon as the player’s Polish citizenship was confirmed in 2009, Obraniak caught the eye of the Poland national team. Since 2009 he has been representing Poland.
