Ludovic Sylvestre is a midfielder of Çaykur Rizespor. He was born on 5 February 1984 in Le Blanc-Mesnil, Seine-Saint-Denis, France.
Ludovic’s career took off in the academy of Clairefontaine, where the footballer spent several years before moving to the youth system of Guingamp. Sylvestre trained with the new team during two years, but decided to accept the offer of the academy of Strasbourg, where he got ready for a senior start.
In 2005, the midfielder unexpectedly changed the direction of his career and went to Spanish side Barcelona. The head coach asked Ludovic to join the reserve squad of the club, where the footballer made 20 appearances during one year. In 2006, Sylvestre took part in two games for the main squad, but the management decided to sell him.
After gaining a lot of experience with one of Spanish top-flight teams, the midfielder transferred to Czech side Sparta Prague and featured in 25 games for the club during one year and a half. In January 2008, Ludovic went on loan to Viktoria Plzeň and netted three goals in 14 matches for the team during six months.
In 2008, the footballer completed a move to Mladá Boleslav, where he became one of anchor midfielders and amassed 12 goals in 60 games during two seasons. In 2010, Sylvestre sealed a deal with English side Blackpool and found the net 6 times in 65 fixtures for the club.
In 2013 the player moved to a Turkish side Çaykur Rizespor.
