A Brazilian footballer Luís Fabiano Clemente acts as a striker for São Paulo FC and the Brazil national squad. Clemente was born on 8 November 1980 in Campinas.
Luís started his professional career in 1998 at Ponte Preta, where he spent four years appearing 12 times and netting 3 goals. In 2000, a move to Rennes happened. He made 11 appearances for the team during the two-year spell.
In 2001, a year-long loan was served at São Paulo. The striker managed a fabulous spell with the temporary club and his contract was extended for the following three years. In total, he netted 52 goals in 65 appearances. Such a successful performance was honored with the title of the Top Scorer in the Copa Libertadores.
In 2004, Fabiano had a spell at Porto featuring in 22 matches and scoring 3 goals. In 2005, a contract with Sevilla was penned with a €10 million buy-out cast.
After the footballer had joined the club, he started a new wonderful stage of his professional career. He immediately established himself in the started squad and remained his place until the very end of the spell. Together with the team, Fabiano had many successful runs, winning the UEFA Cup and Copa del Rey two times. The 2009/2010 season was lined with being awarded with the eights place in the list of top scorers of Spain (he netted 15 goals in 23 games).
On 11 March 2011, the Brazilian footballer opted to rejoin the former side São Paulo and signed a four—year contract with the club.
Fabiano earned his first cap for the Brazil national squad in 2003. He was a member of the team that won the 2004 Copa América and the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.
