Luis Torres is a right back for Hapoel Be’er Sheva. He was born on 15 October 1979 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Luis’ professional football career started in 1997. His first team was Portuguese Estrela da Amadora, where he spent one season. In 1998 Torres moved to AF Guarda, where he also stayed for only a year. Portuguese Atlético invited the young defender into their ranks right before the 1999/00 season, and Luis eagerly agreed without much hesitation.
In 2001 Luis Torres moved to Amora F.C., where he played for the next two seasons. In 2004 Torres signed for Premier League G.D. Estoril Praia. For two seasons he defended the colors of Estoril, after which made two more transfers within the Portuguese championship.
In 2008 footballer moved to Cyprus, where he played for Doxa Katokopia and Ethnikos Achna. In the 2010/11 season Torres played 24 official matches, and demonstrated a high level of play. As a result, in June 2011 Israeli Hapoel Be’er Sheva offered Luis a contract on favorable terms. The offer was accepted, and 31-year-old Portuguese moved to Israel.
