Macauley Chrisantus is a Nigerian forward currently playing for Las Palmas in the Spanish Segunda División. He was born on 20 August 1990 in Abuja, Nigeria.
Macauley was formed in the youth ranks of his hometown side Hearts of Abuja. In 2007, he moved to play for the German Hamburger SV youth team and in a year he made his debut for the reserve squad of the club. In 2009, Chrisantus was sent on loan to Karlsruher SC from Hamburger SV. He scored 11 goals in 47 matches for two seasons at his temporary club. In the 2011/12 season, the striker moved on loan to FSV Frankfurt and pulled off the season with 8 goals in 26 matches. In 2012, Chrisantus left Germany for Spain where he joined the second-tier club Las Palmas and plays there today.
Macauley Chrisantus cut a brilliant figure for Nigeria U-17 national team during the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2007 when his country won the competition. He was named the top scorer and the second best player of the tournament then with his 7 goals in 7 matches.
