An Egyptian footballer Mahmoud Fathalla operates as a centre-back for Zamalek SC. He was born on 12 February 1982 in Dakahlia.
Mahmoud came from the youth ranks of Ghazl El-Mehalla. In 2004, the footballer joined the club’s senior side. He performed for the team during three years netting 13 goals in 74 matches.
In 2007, Fathalla signed for Zamalek. He managed to get the place in the first eleven almost at once. In 2010, Mahmoud was said to move to Al-Ahly, but he denied those rumors.
On international level, Mahmoud’s already made more than 45 appearances for the national side of his motherland. His first call for the squad came in 2005. The footballer was the member of the team that brought the victory in the Africa Cup of Nations two times (in 2008 and 2010).
