A Brazilian footballer Maicon Thiago Pereire de Souza acts as a midfielder for São Paulo. He was born on 14 September 1985 in Rio de Janeiro.
Maicon’s debut happened in 2003, when he was selected to the youth team of Madureira. In 2004, the footballer penned his first pro contract with Fluminense, where he appeared 25 times and was once lucky to find the net.
The next year, defended Bangu and moved to Batafogo. He didn’t settle in the new team and very soon a move to Madureira happened. In 2007, Thiago caught an attention of the German MSV Duisburg. His club career there would last for two seasons.
In 2009, after all the preliminary tests had been passed, the midfielder became an official member of Figueirense. Very quickly he established himself in the starting team and made 75 appearances during the spell.
In 2012, Pereira took the proposal from São Paulo and earned a spot in the main squad. The footballer’s already featured in more than 25 club’s fixtures.
Maicon’s twice the holder of the Taça Rio (2005 and 2006). He also won the 2005 Campeonato Carioca under the flag of Fluminense.
