Maksim Grigoriev was born on July 6, 1990 in Lipetsk, Soviet Union. Currently plays a left winger for Lokomotiv Moscow.
Maksim started his career at the youth ranks of FC Spartak Moscow. In 2007, Grigoriev was shortlisted for the reserve side of the club and on March 21, 2009 debuted for the first squad in the match against FC Kuban Krasnodar.
In 2011, the footballer moved to the second division MITOS Novocherkassk, the deal stirring up a lot of arguments, because immediately after the contract was signed, the player somehow featured in the first eleven of the top-flight Rostov and scored in his very first match for this southern team. This goal appeared to be the footballer’s first Russian Premier League goal.
In 2012, Maksim Grigoriev transferred to FC Lokomotiv Moscow and on September 22, 2012 already scored his first goal for the squad putting the ball into the net of FC Terek Grozny.
As an international Maksim Grigoriev passed through the U-19 Russia national football squad and since 2010 the winger has been representing the U-21 national team.
