Mame Niang is a Senegalese footballer born on 31 March 1984 in Dakar, Senegal. He currently plays as a striker for SuperSport United in the Premier Soccer League.
Mame started out his professional career with his hometown side ASC Diaraf in 2004. In 2005, he moved to South Africa and joined their powerhouse club Moroka Swallows. Niang got off to a flying start in the new country as he was awarded the top PSL goalscorer title with 14 goals in the 2005/06 season.
In the 2007/08 season, Niang found himself at the German side VfL Wolfsburg but the Senegalese player didn’t receive enough playing time at the club and moved to the Norwegian top league in 2008 firstly playing for Viking FK and then for Kongsvinger. In the 2011/12 campaign, Niang returned to South Africa and joined SuperSport United in the Premier Soccer League. In 2012, he moved to Pretoria University for one season.
In the summer 2013 he completed a switch to SuperSport United.
