Manuel Pablo García Díaz was born in 1976 in Arucas, Spain. He currently plays for Deportivo de La Coruña as a right defender.
He started to play at his hometown UD Las Palmas as a graduate from the youth team and in 1998 he joined for Deportivo de La Coruña.
His La Liga debut was in November 1998, it was a 2–2 draw against Deportivo Alavés. In his new club Pablo competed with Armando but proved himself as a strong player and during the period from 1999 to 2001 Pablo appeared in 74 league games.
In August 2000 he was called up for the Spanish national team for the first time, it was a 1-4 loss to Germany.
In a year Pablo received a tibia injury in the match against Celta de Vigo and missed the reminder of the season. He returned the next year appearing in the Copa del Rey match. Soon he appeared in La Liga for several minutes and in that season he played in seven La Liga matches.
In the 2003/04 season he recovered completely and showed good performance in a 4–0 second leg quarterfinal at UEFA Champions League that was the match against A.C. Milan. The next season he faced competition from Álvaro Arbeloa, who nevertheless left for Liverpool. The following seasons he was the team’s first-choice.
