Mao Biao is a Chinese forward, born on 24 July 1987 in Tianjin, China.
Mao first joined the youth football academy of FC Tianjin Teda, where he immediately became a part of the youth-team squad. His excellent off-the-ball movement and precise shooting helped him to establish himself as a hot prospect. So the senior team head coach wanted to involve the youngster into the first-team football as soon as possible.
In 2005 Mao Biao signed his first professional deal with the Tianjin outfit and joined the first-team squad. During his debut season he was often used as a substitute, gaining an important playing experienced. He was especially effective on the flanks, helping his team to organize dangerous attacks.
The 2008 season was a real breakthrough for the player, as he managed to establish a prolific partnership with Éber Luís Cucchi, which helped his club to finish fourth in the league and allowed FC Tianjin Teda to take part in the AFC Champions League next season.
Biao debuted at the international level with the China national side, when he was twenty two years old. It happened during an international fixture against the Saudi Arabia national football team.
