Marc Bertrán Vilanova is a Spanish flank defender who plays for CA Osasuna.
Bertrán began playing football in a local club named La Pobla de Segur but then moved to a youth team of Espanyol. Although he made his debut for the Catalan side in 2001/02 the footballer wasn’t able to appear frequently enough as he took the pitch 16 times during the next three seasons. In search for playing time Marc accomplished his move to a second-division side Córdoba on loan where he played 22 games.
Marc was released from his contract in the summer of 2005 and soon signed for another La Liga side Cádiz but having spent half a season there he moved to Lorca Deportiva, also in La Liga. Having spent 19 games for Lorca he was bought by Tenerife where he was granted his place in the starting eleven almost at once. During his third year for the side from the Canary Islands the squad returned to the top flight after a seven-year absence.
Tenerife dropped down a level in the last tour of the season 2009/10 in which Bertrán played 21 matches, all in the starting squad, and scored an equalizer against Almería regardless a 4-months recovery from an injury.
In the season 2010/11 Bertrán was a player who started in all the games but Tenerife was relegated again. As a result in May 2009 the 29-year-old joined Osasuna that play in the top flight.
