A French footballer Marc Vidal plays as a goalkeeper for Toulouse FC.
The player’s football career began at his hometown club SS Saint-Affrique. Due to his outstanding football skills he managed to go through a tryout at the Castelmaurou academy. While studying at the academy the player consolidated his goalkeeping abilities and knowledge under the wing of former player of the France national football team – Fabien Barthez. After two years at the academy Marc signed a contract with Toulouse – the biggest club in the region.
The goalkeeper immediately established a good reputation. In the 2009/10 season Vidal was made the main goalkeeper of the club’s amateur team that played in CFA 2. He was also inserted into the third goalkeeper role of the senior team. In late September 2009 while training the player sustained an extensive shoulder injury that ruled him out for a couple of months. During Marc’s rehabilitation period the team endured an emergency situation because both its goalkeepers suffered serious injuries. On 13 February the player appeared for the first time after his absence in the match against FC Lorient. Vidal played with dignity and conceded only 1 goal. But afterwards he managed to preserve the draw during stoppage time.
