Márcio Mossoró is a midfielder of Al Ahli. He was born on 4 July 1983 in Mossoró, Brazil.
In 1999 Mossoró joined Ferroviário youth academy where he was trained until 2001. In 2002 Mossoró signed his first professional contract with Santa Catarina. During the 2002/2003 season he made several appearances for this club until he was offered to move to another Brazilian side.
In the summer 2003 Márcio penned a contract with Paulista where he spent two years. During his spell with this club he was mostly deployed as a sub and scored 3 goals in 18 matches. In 2005 Mossoró caught the eye of the Brazilian side Internacional with which he sealed a long-term deal. He started to get into the starting line-up from time to time, however his physical condition didn’t allow him to become a permanent member of the first squad. In 2007 Mossoró was sent on loan to Marítimo. The footballer moved to Portugal where he started to make impressive performances. In the 2007/2008 season he was the key midfielder of the Portuguese club where he played 30 games scoring 7 goals.
One year in Marítimo was enough for Márcio to attract the attention of other Portuguese outfits. In the summer 2008 Internacional and Braga finally agreed on the terms of Mossoró´s transfer to this Portuguese club which sealed a long-term deal with the footballer. In the 2008/2009 season the midfielder sometimes earned a place in the starting eleven. After five years with the Portuguese club Mossoró joined a Saudi club Al-Ahli.
