Marko Livaja is a striker for Internazionale. He was born on 26 August 1993 in Split, Croatia.
Marko’s youth career started at the youth academy of NK Omladinac Vranjic. In 2008 Marko attracted the attention of one of the best clubs in Croatia Dinamo Zagreb. In the next 2 years Livaja studied at the club’s academy. In 2010 the young Croatian striker joined Hajduk Split youth team in an anticipation of a professional career.
Later that year Marko finally signed his first professional contract with Hajduk Split but didn’t feature with the club’s first team except for training sessions.
In 2011 Marko got an opportunity to advance to a completely new level in his professional career as he was purchased by Italian Internazionale Milano. The coaching staff of Inter considers Marko a very talented player and plans to use the young Croatian in the future. For Livaja to stay in top shape the management of Inter decided to send him out on loan to Lugano for half a season. Unfortunately for Marko he didn’t make any appearances at the club.
In the summer of 2011 Marko continued his career as a loaned player at Cesena. During the 2011/12 season with the Seahorses Marko started only 3 matches though. In January 2013 Marko was loaned out to Atalanta.
From 2008 to 2010 Marko has been capped 33 times and netted 18 goals for Croatia U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-18 teams. Starting from 2010 Livaja plays for the Croatian U-19 team with 5 caps and 2 goals.
