Marco Marchionni is a midfielder of Parma. He was born on 22 July 1980 in Monterotondo, Italy.
Marco started his professional career in his parent club Monterotondo in 1997. He managed to make 29 appearances and score 4 goals during his debut season. In 1998 the Italian penned a three-year contract with Empoli. Marco immediately became one of the anchor players of the team. But the head coach of Empoli used rotation a lot so Marco wasn’t an indispensable guest of the starting eleven. All in all Marchionni made 55 appearances for Empoli and amassed 7 times.
In 2001 put a pen to paper of a contract with Parma. In 2003 he was loaned to Piacenza where he played in 16 matches and scored 1 goal for the club. After that he returned to Parma and played a total of 112 matches and scored 13 goals for Gialloblu.
