Marco Rigoni is a midfielder of Novara. He was born on January 5, 1980 in Montegrotto Terme, Italy.
Marco began his career in 1994 by entering the youth system of Padova. There he represented the youth team in various competitions for 3 years. In 1997 the midfielder was scouted by Juventus and was invited to participate in an exhibition match. After the match Rigoni received an offer to play at Juventus youth system, to which he immediately agreed in order to prepare for pro football.
In 2000 Marco signed for Juventus but made mere 1 appearance during his senior stay at the club. In 2001 Marco was loaned to Ravenna, where he featured in 13 matches and scored 2 goals during the 2001/02 campaign. In the summer of 2002 Rigoni was loaned to Cittadella, where again he was allowed to appear only in 1 match during the season.
In 2003 Marco Rigoni signed for Triestina and spent there 3 full seasons. During that time Rigoni was a regular key midfielder and started almost every match. From 2003 to 2006 Rigoni scored 6 goals in 94 appearances for Triestina. In the summer of 2006 Rigoni was signed by Ternanu, but was immediately sent on loan to Pescara. Marco spent a full season at the temporary club, totaling 32 games and scoring 3 goals. After returning to Ternana Rigoni was made a key midfielder and netted 16 goals in 67 appearances during 2 seasons. In the summer of 2009 Marco signed a contract with Novara and played there as a key midfielder for 3 years totaling 103 appearances and 18 goals. In 2012 Marco went on loan to Italian Serie A side ChievoVerona. Upon completing the loan spell Marco joined Genoa.
In 1998 Marco Rigoni was capped 8 times and scored 1 goal for Italy U-17 and U-18 teams.
