Marco Rossi was an Italian midfielder. He was born on 1 April 1978 in Seravezza, Italy.
Marco started his professional career in 1995 when he signed his first contract with Lucchese. He was an occasional guest of the starting eleven but managed to take part in 31 fixtures of the team during three seasons.
In 1998 the Italian was noticed by Salernitana. The contract was signed after the short period of negotiations and in the summer 1998 Marco joined his new club and played for it up to 2000. He took part in almost all matches of the team (45) and found the net three times.
In 2000 Rossi put a pen to paper of a contract with Fiorentina. Marco didn’t manage to become the team’s anchor player and appeared on the pitch 36 times scoring once during two seasons.
In 2002 the midfielder became the player of Como and spent an ambiguous season there having played only 19 times. In 2003 he was loaned to Genoa where he quickly became one of the anchor players. He took part in 38 matches and fired in eight goals.
In 2004 Il Grifone signed a contract on a regular basis with Rossi. Since 2004 he was an undisputed starter of the club and has taken part in more than 230 fixtures of his club up to 2013 when he retired from professional football.
Since 1997 to 2000 Marco Rossi was capped 6 times for the Italy U-21 national team.
