Marcos. Biography

Marcos Roberto Pereira dos Santos is a professional football player who operates as a striker for Troyes AC. He currently wears the number 9 shirt at the club.

Born in São Paulo, Marcos began his career at Club Athletic Bizertin as an academy player. In 2002 he was promoted to the first-team squad. In the year of 2005 Marcos signed a professional contract with the Tunisian side Espérance. A year later the striker agreed a deal with the Swiss outfit BSC Young Boys where he started 27 matches and scored 7 goals. Marcos instantly turned heads while playing for the club and finally was snapped up by AC Ajaccio. He appeared on the pitch 36 times and netted 9 goals.

In 2008 the Brazilian striker was loaned out to RC Strasbourg. After his loan spell was over, Marcos returned to AC Ajaccio but failed to establish himself a regular. In 2010 Troyes AC secured the player`s services. The Brazilian footballer helped his team get a league promotion. Thanks to his stunning performance Marcos was rewarded with a new two-year contract.
