Marek Čech is a Slovak football player. He was born on 26 January 1983 in Trebišov, Czechoslovakia. He currently plays as a defender for Trabzonspor and for the Slovakia national football team. Moreover, Marek can be used as a left winger.
Marek Čech featured for Inter Bratislava and Sparta Prague. After that he joined Porto in 2005. In the very first season Marek won both the Portuguese Cup and the Championship together with his new team.
In the midsummer 2008 Marek penned a contract with West Bromwich Albion for ₤1.4 million. The footballer made his Premier League debut in a match against Arsenal in the 2008/2009 campaign. Marek managed to make 54 appearances and kick 2 goals for this team.
On 31 August 2011 Marek Čech committed his future to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
The Slovak defender won the Slovak Cup and the Championship, the Czech Championship, the Portuguese Cup and the SuperCup. Besides, he is a three-time winner of the Portuguese Championship.
