Mario Lička is a footballer from Czech Republic born on 30 April 1982 in Ostrava.
Czech club Banik from Mario’s hometown appeared to become the place, where his professional career started off. In the 2002/2003 season, he got an opportunity to perform as a starter. He was awarded the Golden Ball nomination for Revelation of the Year.
In the 2003/2004 season, his team won the league title. During the final game Mario was lucky to score a goal. The rest of the spell the footballer spent serving loans at Livorno.
In 2005, he was selected for Slovacko team, but he wouldn’t play there for longer than a season, moving to England. In a new country he joined Southampton, where he was groomed during the following two years. In 2008, he was welcomed back to Banik Ostrava, where he performed during two seasons.
In the 2010/2011 season, Mario played as a member of Brest in Ligue 1. On 28 August 2010, the footballer managed to score his first penalty goal.
After three years with Brest, Licka joined a Czech side Slavia Prague.
His international career began in 2002, when he was capped for the Czech Republic U-21 team. He also played for the national squad in 3 friendly games in 2009.
