Mario Mandžukić is a Croatian striker, born on 21 May 1986 in Slavonski Brod, Croatia.
Mario spent his first professional 2004/05 season with NK Marsonia before moving to NK Zagreb. However, his career really picked up steam in 2007 when Mandžukić joined Dinamo Zagreb. He sparked furor during the match against Dutch Ajax as he scored two extra-time goals securing his club a 3-2 away victory and a spot in the UEFA Cup. All in all, Mandžukić recorded three consecutive Croatian league titles and two Croatian Cups. He was also named the Best Player of the Croatian First League and Croatian First League top goalscorer with 16 goals in 28 appearances.
In between 2010 and 2012, the Croatian played for VfL Wolfsburg and in the summer 2012 Mandžukić signed for Bayern Munich. He recorded the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles in 2012/13 and 2013/2014 seasons, as well as UEFA Champions League 2012/2013 with the giant club.
In the summer 2014 the player moved to Atletico Madrid.
Mario Mandžukić is regularly capped to the Croatia national team since 2007. For his terrific performances during the UEFA Euro 2012, the striker was named the Croatian Footballer of the Year in 2012.
