Marko Šuler is a Slovenian footballer who currently plays as a defender for the Polish Ekstraklasa club Legia Warsaw. He was born on 9 March 1983 in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia.
Marko started out his professional career with Slovenian second-division side Dravograd in 2001. He helped them to win the Second League and reach the Slovenian Cup finals in the 2003/04 season. In 2004, Šuler signed for Gorica. He claimed two consecutive Slovenian Prva liga titles in the Gorica’s jersey and also helped the team to finish as runners-up in the 2004/05 Slovenian Cup. In 2008, Šuler left for Belgium where he spent four successful seasons at Gent. He cut a brilliant figure in the 2009/10 season as he helped his side to win the Belgian Cup and finish as runner-up in the Belgian Pro League. In 2012, Marko was sent on a short loan to Israeli team Hapoel Tel Aviv where he, however, managed to help the club to win the Israel State Cup. In 2012, the Slovenian defender moved to the Polish side Legia Warsaw where he plays till the date.
Since 2008, Marko Šuler is capped to the Slovenia national team. He scored his maiden international goal in a match against Croatia in August 2008.
