Before the closing of the transfer window in the summer 2008, Marouane transferred to Everton and signed a five-year contract. He made his début in the match against Stoke City on 14 September the same year. Marouane Fellaini was voted the Everton Young Player of the Year by the end of that season. Fellaini became the leader of the Toffees and was linked with many big clubs. On the last day of the transfer window 2013 the Belgian joined his former manager David Moyes at Manchester United.
