Martin Kelly is a back of Liverpool. He was born on 27 April 1990 in Whiston, England.
Martin began his youth career in 1997 by joining the Liverpool academy. The young footballer was impressed by the scale of the Liverpool football world and wanted to become its part. During ten years Martin diligently trained, developed his best defense qualities and played for the youth team, where he gained coach’s confidence.
In 2007 it was time to start professional career. Liverpool appreciated all Martin’s merits and offered him a contract and a place in the first team. Kelly signed a long-term contract with the club in 2007 and has been continuously developing in ‘The Reds’ up till now.
In 2009 Martin did not get necessary playing practice and that is why he was sent on loan to Huddersfield Town, where the young back took part only in seven matches and scored one goal.
After returning from the loan, Kelly continued to periodically play for the main squad, but his appearances were not so regular, because a number of high-class backs with a lot of experience play in the team at the moment.
From 2009 till 2010 Martin Kelly was capped 15 times for the England national U-19 and U-21 teams and netted three goals.
