Martin Olsson is a back of Norwich City. He was born on 17 May 1988 in Gävle, Sweden.
In 2005, Martin joined the academy of Högaborgs BK, where he trained during one year and drew the attention of English side Blackburn Rovers. ‘The Riversiders’ offered the footballer better conditions and perspectives, which entailed Olsson’s move to Ewood Park in 2006.
In 2007, the back started to perform for the main squad of the club and made both starts and sub appearances. With the lapse of time, Martin developed into the confident and promising footballer, who gained the head coach’s confidence and got more playing time. Olsson took part in 117 games for Blackburn until the summer 2013 when he joined a Premier League club Norwich City.
From 2006 till 2010, the back featured in 36 matches and contributed two goals for the Sweden national U-19 and U-21 squads. From 2010, Martin has been capped 15 times and fired four goals for the senior national team.
