Masashi Oguro is a Japanese striker currently playing for Hangzhou Greentown in the Chinese Super League. He was born on 4 May 1980 in Toyonaka, Japan.
Masashi started out his professional career with J-league side Gamba Osaka in 1999. He played for the team for six seasons amassing 48 goals in 111 appearances. In 2005, Oguro moved to Europe where he joined the French second-division club Grenoble. After that he found himself in Italy playing for Torino. In 2008, Oguro returned to Japan and played for such clubs as Tokyo Verdy, Yokohama FC, FC Tokyo. In the 2011 season, Oguro signed for Yokohama F. Marinos. At the beginning of the 2013 campaign he was sent on loan to Chinese Hangzhou Greentown where plays today.
Masashi Oguro was an international for Japan since 2005 till 2008. For that perio he made a total of 5 goals in 22 matches for the national team. He scored a crucial injury-time goal in a 2-1 win over North Korea in a 2006 World Cup qualification match.
