Massimo Mutarelli is a retired footballer who played at the position of midfielder. He was born on 13 January 1978 in Como, Italy.
The player started his career 1995 when he signed his first contract with Atalanta BC which he represented for two years. However, a young midfielder appeared only in 5 matches and did not manage to become a key player of the squad.
In 1998 Massimo agreed to a contract with Genoa C.F.C. One of the most successful periods in the player’s career is associated with that club. Over a period of 5 years he became an integral member of the team making 138 total appearances and scoring 8 goals.
In 2003 Mutarelli moved to Palermo for which he played for three years. Throughout that time he was a key member of the squad whom trusted the head coach. In three years he scored 5 goals in 116 matches for the club.
In 2006 the midfielder switched to Italian club SS Lazio. As a member of that club he participated in 48 matches and netted 4 goals. In 2009 Massimo joined Bologna FC. Over two years spent with that club he performed in 33 matches. In January 2012 the player moved to Atalanta BC but never played a match and was released soon.
Mutarelli is also a former youth international and represented Italia at U-17, U-18 and U-21 levels. From 1995 till 1998 he made 25 total appearances and netted 2 goals.
