Mathieu Dossevi plays in the striker role for Valenciennes FC. He was born on 12 February 1988 in Chambray-les-Tours, France.
The striker started his youth career in 1998 playing for Tours FC youth team. Throughout those 7 years spent with the club Mathieu not only starred for the team but also successfully studied at the club’s academy.
In 2005 a young striker was spotted by the scouts from Le Mans. After a tryout the scouts received evidence that Dossevi deserved studying at their academy. Besides, he had every prospect of promotion to the senior team in a few years. The player was glad to study at Le Mans academy which has always been the best one in the region. The striker’s youth career continued until 2008.
In 2008 Mathieu signed his first professional contract keeping him at Le Mans until 2010. Over a period of two years he frequently appeared in the starting lineup, however, he did not manage to become a top-scorer. The player scored 5 goals in 42 total appearances with the club.
In 2010 Dossevi received a call up from Valenciennes with which he eventually signed a professional contract. Currently the striker successfully represents the French club playing in the major squad.
