Mato Jajalo is a football player from Croatia, born in 1988. Currently he plays for 1. FC Köln as a midfielder. He began his youth career at Kickers Offenbach in Germany and in 1999 he moved to Croatian Slaven Belupo and on 1 June 2007 he made his senior team debut in 1-0 win against Osijek.
On 2 June 2009 Mato Jajalo moved to the Italian team A.C. Siena for a fee of € 2 million. He made 25 appearances for Siena during the season and in July 2010 he was sent to 1. FC Köln on a season-long loan with an option to buy out the rights. After a season, in June 2011, Jajalo joined Köln on a long-term basis.
He was called up to represent Croatia at U20 and U21 levels and as a part of the latter one he wore the captain’s armband.
