Matty James is a midfielder of Leicester City. He was born on 22 July 1991 in Bacup, England.
Matty spent last three years of his junior career in the academy of Manchester United, where he managed to perfect his skills and gain the necessary experience.
In 2009, the footballer was included into the roster for a game of the senior squad, but he did not come on the pitch. In January 2010, James was sent on a six-month loan to Preston North End and netted two goals in 18 fixtures for the temporary team during his spell. In the summer 2010, ‘The Lilywhites’ extended his contract for one year and saw the midfielder make ten appearances in the 2010/2011 season.
After the end of his spell, Matty returned to ‘The Red Devils’ and resumed his training with the main squad of the club, which helped the footballer to keep fit. In 2012, Leicester City lodged a bid for the midfielder and secured his services in May the same year.
From 2007 till 2010, James was capped 34 times for the England national U-16, U-17, U-19 and U-20 teams.
