Max Grün is a German goalkeeper of VfL Wolfsburg. He was born on 5 April 1987 in Karlstadt.
Grün began his career when 6 years old in the junior ranks of his hometown club FV 1920 Karlstadt. In 2002 he joined Bayern Munich’s youth setup. Soon Max was capped for the U-16 national team where he subsequently earned 10 appearances. In 2005 the young keeper was invited to play for Bayern’s reserves signing his first professional contract. His début came on 10 September 2006 in the match versus VfR Aalen. On 23 August 2008 Grün played his first 3 Liga game against Eintracht Braunschweig. His team won that match. Afterwards, Max played 2 games in a row appearing on the pitch from the 1st minute.
In August 2009 Grün moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth where he performed until the end of 2012/2013 season. After his club had been relegated from the top flight Grün was looking for a chance to stay in the Bundesliga and accepted the offer from Wolfsburg.
